Mildred
“Millie” H. Emrick, 85 years of Temperance,
MI, died Thursday, December 8, 2005 in the
Mercy Memorial Nursing Care Center, Monroe.
Born, August 16, 1920 at home in Bowling
Green, OH, she was the daughter of Charles
and Alice (Housholder) Seifert. She married
Herbert Emrick on June 26, 1948 in Bowling
Green, OH. He preceded her in death on April
30, 1986. She was employed as a purchasing
clerk for Libby Glass for over 10 years,
retiring in 1983. Before being married,
she was employed by Catholic Charities and
Willy's Overland. Millie was a charter member
of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church
in Temperance, where she was active in the
Keen-Agers, assisted in money counting and
volunteered in various office duties.
Surviving
are her loving children, C. Renee Emrick
of Toledo, Daniel (Ann) Emrick of Clayton,
MI, Michael Emrick of Morenci, MI, Gloria
(David) Herrman of St. Cloud, FL, Connie
(Gary) Danzeisen of Temperance, Robert (Debbie)
Emrick of Dundee, MI and Ray (Brenda) Emrick
of Ottawa Lake, MI. Brothers, Howard (Mary)
Seifert of Bowling Green, OH, Lloyd (Marcella)
Seifert of Ashley, MI, and Gerald Seifert
of Bowling Green, OH. Sister, Lois (James)
Duffin of Philadelphia, PA, 13 grandchildren
and 1 great granddaughter. She was also
preceded in death by her parents, son, Joseph
and 2 brothers, Harold and Paul Seifert.
Visitation
will be held Sunday from 3-9 pm in the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at
Jackman) Temperance, where the rosary will
be prayed Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services
will be held Monday at 9:45 am in the funeral
home with Mass of Christian Burial following
at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic
Church. Fr. Daniel Nusbaum, officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery,
Temperance. Memorials may be made to the
Mercy Memorial Nursing Care Center, Monroe,
MI or Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
