Karen S. (Thompson)
Ellis, age 57 years of Temperance, MI, died
Tuesday,
February 5, 2008 after a courageous battle
with pancreatic cancer surrounded by her
loving family. Karen worked for SBC for
30 years, retiring in 1999. She belonged
to the Telephone Pioneers of America and
CWA, Local 4319. Retirement freed up time
to pursue the true joys in her life. She
was an avid reader, loved crafting and looked
forward to the volunteer work she did every
week at Bingo, but most of all it gave her
more time to spend with her family, especially
her two wonderful grandsons, Tyler and Austin.
Karen
is survived by her 3 loving children, Robert
(Belinda) Thompson of Dundee, MI, Carrie
(Dan) Meszaros of Temperance, MI and Scott
Thompson of Toledo, OH. 2 adorable grandsons,
Tyler and Austin, with 2 more on the way
and her mother, Betty Kruger of Toledo,
OH. Brothers, Rob (Sally) Kruger of Morenci,
MI and Chris (Tammy) Kruger of Toledo ,
OH . Sister, Amy (Kurt) Linser of Lambertville,
MI.

may call from 2-6:00 pm Monday at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road
(at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral
services will follow at 6:00 pm. Memorials
may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio
or the Lucas County Library System.
