| Carl
G. Dusseau, 85 years of Temperance and formerly
of Erie, MI, died Sunday, September 18,
2005 in the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Inpatient
Unit in Toledo surrounded by his loving
family. He was born the fourth of nine children
on August 23, 1920 in Erie, MI, to Carl
and Alice (Poupard) Dusseau. He spent his
childhood on the family farm in Erie. Carl
grew up as a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic
Church, where he attended grade school and
received the sacraments. He married Catherine
LaPointe on Jan. 18, 1947. Carl retired
in 1983 as an electrician from Local 8,
International Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers, Toledo, OH, serving as a foreman
on many job locations for more than 30 years.
An Army veteran, Carl honorably served his
country during WWII as a Master Sergeant
in Southeast Asia. As a past Post Commander,
Carl volunteered much of his time as a member
of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, Post 3925,
Erie, MI. He also served as a volunteer
fireman in Erie Township for more than 20
years. He was also a member of Our Lady
of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance.
Carl enjoyed helping neighbors, family and
friends with various household mechanical
and electrical problems. He also took pleasure
in restoring antiques, gardening, traveling,
golfing, fishing, reading and playing cards.
He was a devoted husband, loving father,
grandfather and great grandfather and will
be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Carl
is survived by his loving wife, Catherine.

Joan (Michael) Simon of Sylvania, OH, Dean
(Kathy) Dusseau of Ottawa Lake, MI, Susan
(David) Toepfer of Toledo, Mark (Nancy)
Dusseau of Temperance, Peggy (Daniel) Dusseau
of Erie, and John Dusseau of Utica, MI.
Brother, Vincent (Betty) Dusseau of Erie,
MI. Sisters, Angela Amrhein of Toledo and
Eleanor Grill of Scottsdale, AZ, 21 grandchildren
and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to
his parents, he was preceded in death by
his brothers, Felix, and Duane Dusseau.

and Mary Alice Dusseau.
Visitation
will be held from 2-9 pm. Thursday in the
Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith
Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, where the VFW,
Post 3925 will conduct services Thursday
at 7:00 pm with scripture services following
at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will
be held Friday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of
Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where Carl will
lie in state after 9:00 am. Fr. Daniel Nusbaum,
officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice
of Northwest Ohio or the charity of the
donor's choice.
