Shirley S. Drake, age 66 of Temperance, MI, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 in her home. Born Nov. 27, 1943 in Rutherford County, TN, she was the daughter of Jim and Lucile (Miller) Wilson. A 1961 graduate of Sylvania High School, she married George O. Drake on Feb. 13, 1965 in Sylvania, OH. She was an active member of God’s Grace Church in Lambertville, MI.
Surviving are her loving husband, George. Children, George (Kim) Drake, Jr. of Temperance, MI and Ruth (Mike) Pietrowski of Watauga, TN. Sister, Mary Ellen (Clay) Storley of Fridley, MN. Grandchildren, Michaela, Mariah and Megan Pietrowski, and Allison and William Drake.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Sunday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am. Gary Singer, pastor of God’s Grace Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery. |
