Louis
Julien Devos, Age 78 of Erie, MI, died Sunday,
July 24, 2005 in his home. Born Nov. 9,
1926 in LaSalle, Mi, he was the son of Alois
and Madeline (Staelens) Devos. A WWII Army
veteran, he married Angela Labardee on April
22, 1950 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in
Erie. A lifelong farmer, Julien owned and
operated the Devos Homegrown Produce Market
with his son, David for 29 years. He also
drove in the winter for Amendt Milling Co.
in Monroe for 10 years. Julien was a member
of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kof C, Council
7413, and a life member of the VFW, 3925,
all of Erie, MI.
Surviving
are his loving wife, Angela. Children, Sandra
(George) Salenbien of Dundee, MI, Jean (John)
Barry of Bangor, MA, Sharon (Ken) Trabbic
of Erie, MI, Kathy (Garry) Mehl of Erie,
MI, David (Maureen) Devos of LaSalle, MI,
Barb (Ray) Bonkoski of LaSalle, MI and Beth
(Brad) Liedel of Erie, MI. Brothers, Cyriel
Devos of LaSalle, MI and Camiel Devos of
Monroe, MI. Sister, Rachael Munson of LaSalle,
MI , 32 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Julien was preceded in death by his parents
and twin brother.

may call from 5-9 pm Monday and 2-9 Tuesday
at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640
Smith Rd., Temperance. The Rosary will be
prayed Monday at 7:00 p.m. and by the K
of C, Council 7413, Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday
at 10:15 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Mass
of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m.
at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie. Fr.
John Hedges, pastor of St. Stephens in New
Boston, MI, officiating. Interment will
follow in the church cemetery. Memorials
may be made to The Church Building Fund
or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
