Steven
L. Deller, age 47 years of Temperance, MI,
went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March
23, 2008 in his home. Born Sept. 9, 1960
in Angola, IN, he was the son of Danny and
Willa (Eatinger) Deller. A 1978 graduate
of Bedford High School , he married Pamela
A. Everett on Oct. 22, 1994 in Temperance,
MI. Steve was employed as a millwright for
the past 23 years for MTS Seating in Temperance.
He was an active member and head usher for
the Bedford Church of the Nazarene in Lambertville,
MI . Steve was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying
hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and disc
golf and was a member of the MTS Trap. After
being born again on Feb. 29, 2004 , he brought
several people to know Christ through work
and play.
Surviving
are his loving wife, Pamela. Sons, William
“Lyle” (Heather) Sligh of Lebanon, TN, veteran
of the Iraqi War and William “Thomas” Chad
Sligh of Temperance, MI, District Licensed
Minister of the Eastern Michigan District
Church of the Nazarene. Mother, Willa Deller
of Temperance, MI. Brother, Scott (Susan)
Deller of Lambertville, MI. Sister, Sherrie
(Jim) Kiss of Lambertville, MI and 2 grandchildren,
Lyle, Jr. and Alexis Sligh. 2 nieces, Amanda
Kiss and Sara Deller. 3 Nephews, Steven
Kiss, Andrew and Mitchell Deller. He was
preceded in death by his father. Steve will
be remembered for his caring and generous
heart.
A
gathering will be held Wednesday from 2:30
pm – 3:30 pm at the Bedford Church of the
Nazarene, 7866 Douglas Road, Lambertville,
MI, where a memorial service will follow
at 3:30 pm. Pastor Vince Flippo, officiating.
Memorials may be made to the church.
