John N. Davis, age 78 years of Toledo, OH, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 in Mercy St. Anne Hospital.  Born July 16, 1931 in Knoxville, TN, he was the son of Harvie and Leona (Blair) Davis.  A US Army veteran of the Korean War, he married Nancy E. Brooks on Aug. 11, 1956.  John was a truck driver for Central Transport in Toledo for 35 years, retiring in 1989.  He was a member of Paragon Lodge, # 788, F & AM.  John enjoyed hunting, fishing and trips to Las Vegas, but truly lived for his family. 

Surviving are his loving wife, Nancy.  Children, Steve (Terri) Davis, Michael Davis, Beth (Mel) Poulson and Joseph (Tammy) Davis.  Sister, Judy (Gene) Nicely.  6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 on the way.  John was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Betty Davis. 

Visitation will be from 2-9 pm Friday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am.  Pastor Andrew Edwards, III, officiating.  Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the Paragon Lodge, #788, F&AM,  Millbury, OH.
