Sylvia “Elaine” Dashner, 71 years of Temperance, MI, died Sunday, January 1, 2012 in her home. Born January 22, 1940 in Norton, VA, she was the daughter of Lonnie and Bulah (Smith) Wells. A graduate of Whitmer High School, she married Carl A. Dashner, Sr. on February 4, 1961 in Toledo, OH. Elaine was a press operator for Toledo Press Steel. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Lambertville, MI and T.O.P.S.
Surviving are her loving husband, Carl. Children, Carl A. Dashner, Jr. and Darlene Cox-Dashner. Brothers, Lonnie and Avery Well. Sisters; Mavis Bolling, Annette Zientek, Thelma Fowler and Gaynell Dennis. 4 grandchildren, Traci and Adam Cox and Joshua and Jonathan Pruss. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Charlene Pruss.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church or F.A.C.E.S. |
