Clyde E. Dashner, age 83 years of Toledo, OH and formerly of Lambertville, MI, died Friday, November 13, 2009 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, OH. Born May 30, 1926 in Sylvania, OH, he was the son of Lawrence and Eleanor (Clark) Dashner. A US Coast Guard veteran of WWII, he married Ruth Skivers on June 14, 1947. Clyde was a millwright for the Champion Spark Plug Corporation, retiring in 1989. Prior he worked for the Toledo Scale for 13 years. He was a member of Unity United Methodist Church in Northwood, OH.
Surviving are his loving wife, Ruth, Children, Dan (Sherry) Dashner, Ron (Sue) Dashner, Sue (Mike) Karmol, Chris (Donna) Dashner and Todd (Theresa) Dashner. Brothers, Donald, Carl (Elaine), Walter (Barb), Dale (Phyllis) and Larry (Joyce) Dashner. Sister, Lucille Skiver. Sister-in-law, Nancy Dashner. 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-9 pm Sunday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am. Pastor Harold Black, officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. |
