Leah
J. Danzeisen, 78 years of Temperance, MI,
died Saturday, July 10, 2004 in the Bedford
Elderly Care Center in Temperance. Born
September 20, 1925 in Morin Point, MI, she
was the daughter of Farrell & Ethel
(Street) Rollins. A 1944 graduate of Woodward
High School, she married Gene Danzeisen
on Nov. 27, 1948 in St. Paul's Lutheran
Church in Temperance. In the 1940's Leah
had been employed by the former Pere Marquette
Rail Road Layover Hotel, W. T. Grant and
the Rothmoore Coat Manufacturing Company.
She had also been active on the family farm
with her husband. A devoted Christian, Leah
had been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran
Church where she had taught Sunday School
for 42 years.
She
is survived by her loving husband, Gene.Children,
Gary (Connie) Danzeisen of Temperance, MI,
Debbie (Robert) Emrick of Dundee, MI and
Rich (Lynae) Danzeisen of Virginia Beach,
Virginia. Brother, Allen (Lou) Rollins of
Toledo and 10 grandchildren. Leah
was preceded in death by her parents, son
Jerry Danzeisen and sister, Edith Cousino.
Friends
may call from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home ,
1640 Smith Road (one mile North of Alexis).
Funeral services will be held Wednesday
at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church,
where she will lie in state after 9:00 a.m.
Rev. Rodney Haselhuhn, pastor of the church,
officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo
Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to
St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Mercy Memorial
Hospice.
