| Dennis
“Denny” G. Daggett, CLU, ChFC age 66 years
of Lambertville, MI, passed away Friday,
September 07, 2007 in his home surrounded
by his loving family. Born Nov. 28, 1940
in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Richard
and Lucille (Bennett) Daggett. He met and
married his only love, Rochelle in Toledo.
His greatest pride were his 3 children,
and 8 grandchildren. Denny grew up and spent
his childhood in Twin Lakes , MI and Toledo,
OH and graduated from Whitmer High School
in 1958. He was a US Army veteran, serving
with the 101 st Airborne Division, making
over 100 jumps. While stationed in Washington
D.C., he worked for the Assistant Secretary
of Defense, International Security Affairs.
He was honorably discharged in 1964 at the
rank of Staff Sergeant. After leaving the
military he became advertising manager for
the Bedford Courier. In 1971 Denny went
to work for New York Life, giving the company
20 years, managing offices all over the
country, leaving in 1990. He moved back
to the Toledo area and worked for Woodman
Accident & Life. Denny finished his
career as the Investment Coordinator for
the Financial Design Group in Sylvania,
OH. Through all of this his love and help
mate, Shelly, was a key to his success.
Surviving
are his loving wife, Rochelle. Children,
Mark Daggett of Westerville, OH, Dene' (
Kent ) Kelly of Denver, CO and Nicole (Bill)
Walsh of Beverly Hills, MI. 8 grandchildren,
Paige, Dylan, Joshua, Samuel, Kathleen,
Megan, Dennis and Timothy. Brothers, Richard
Daggett of Honolulu, HI, Daniel “Paul” (Sonia)
Daggett of Loveland, CO and David (Gay)
Daggett of Ft. Collins, CO. Sisters, Elizabeth
(Anton) Ranuio of St. Louis, MO, and Anita
( Bryan ) Hillsley of Evergreen, CO. Sister
in law, Karen Daggett of Lambertville ,
MI .
Visitation
will be held 7-9 pm Monday and 3-9 pm Tuesday
at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640
Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Funeral
services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday
at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie, where
he will lie in state after 10:00 am. Interment
will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Erie,
MI. Memorials may be made to Hospice of
Northwest Ohio or Make A Wish Foundation.
To
know Denny and to be his friend was to be
a member of his family. From coast to coast
there are a multitude of people who think
of Denny as a friend, a brother. This ability
to make other people feel welcome was Denny
Daggett.
