Ruth Ann Cousino, 89 years of Temperance, MI, died Friday, January 20, 2012 in Ebeid Hospice Residence surrounded by her loved ones. Born, August 20, 1922 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Jasper and Anna (Etue) Cousino. She married Alfred Cousino on January 27, 1945. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2007. Ruth Ann was a bus driver for Mason Consolidated Schools and a teller for Monroe County Bank for a period of years. She had served on the Family Medical Center of Temperance as a board member for 20 years. Ruth Ann will be remembered for her wisdom and insight in all her relationships with people. Always willing to give advice and opinions whether they were asked for or not. This quality endeared her to those that knew her. She modeled respect for others, gratitude, and a strong work ethic for her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader, euchre player and was always willing to organize the next gathering, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her Catholic Faith and support of Catholic Education were very important to her. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie, MI and most recently Regina Coeli Catholic Church in Toledo, OH

She is survived by her loving children, Greg (Teri) Cousino of Noblesville, IN, Judith Cousino of Toledo, OH and Alan (Debra) Cousino of Petersburg, MI. Grandchildren, Michael (Katie), Alison (Brian), Jennifer and Stacy and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Cousino, and 3 brothers, Arnold, Elroy and Enos Cousino.

Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Tuesday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, where she will lie in state after 9:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Erie, MI. Memorials may be made to Ebeid Hospice Residence or charity of the donor’s choice. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and aids at Hickory Ridge of Temperance and Ebeid Hospice Residence. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
