Emmett “Ike” T. Connell, 80 years of Temperance, MI and formerly of Toledo , died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 in The Toledo Hospital. Born Jan. 14, 1925 in Toledo, he was the son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Stevenson) Connell. A WWII Army veteran, he married Dolores Morrison on April 19, 1947 in Sutton, WV. Prior to his Army service, he had been in the Merchant Marines. Ike was employed by Schindler-Haughton Elevator for 26 years, retiring in 1989. He previously worked for S.M. Jones Steel Corp. for 17 years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3013, in Holland, OH.

Surviving are his loving wife, Doris. Children, Pamela (Dennis) Jankowski of Newburgh , IN , Daniel (Patty) Connell of Toledo , OH , and Lori (Robert) Ferrel of Temperance, MI. Brother, Robert (Evelyn) Connell of Toledo , OH , Sisters, Norma (Glenn) Chambers and Gertrude Connell, both of Toledo , OH . 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Nancy Connell and brother, Daniel "Pete" Connell.
