Thomas H. “Bud” Campbell, age 83 years of Temperance, MI, died Friday, December 11, 2008 at Arbors of Sylvania, Sylvania Twp., OH.  Born Nov. 26, 1925 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Thomas L. and Rose E. (Marshall) Campbell.  A US Army veteran of WWII, he served in the European Theatre and was also a POW.  He was a locomotive Engineer for 42 years for Detroit & Toledo Shoreline Railroad, retiring in 1988.  Tom was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Temperance and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. #9656 in Lambertville, MI, NRA and H.O.G.

Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years,  Esther.  Children, Thomas B. Campbell and Diane Y. Allman.  Grandchildren, Thomas (Patti) Allman, Wendi (Dan) Sorensen, and Troy Allman.  Great grandchildren, Kayla Allman and Sophia and Thayer Sorensen. Brothers, Timothy (Caroline) Campbell and Theodore (Elizabeth) Campbell.  Sister, Judith (Billy) Jones. 

Visitation will be held 3-9 pm Sunday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where the rosary will be prayed Sunday at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:15 am in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Temperance, MI.  Fr. Brian Hurley, officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Make A Wish Foundation of Northwest Ohio or the Ronald McDonald House.
