Anita
J. Burr, age 71, passed away Friday, May
26, 2007 in her home after a prolonged illness.
She was preceded into death by her parents,
George & Lucille Marlow, former husband,
Sam Swigart, and 3 sons, Michael Jones,
David Jones & Bobby Burr. She is survived
by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Burr
of 30 years of marriage. She enjoyed her
work at Toledo Florist Exchange as office
manager for 25 years and retired in 1998.
As Rev. Anita Swigart, she was well known
at the former First Spiritualist Church
of Toledo on Western Ave., where she was
the Assistant Pastor from 1974-1980. Anita
is remembered by many for her philanthropic
giving and sharing for those in need and
her creative talents of sewing and cooking.
A
memorial service is scheduled at 7:00 pm
Friday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral
Home, 1640 Smith Road (at Jackman) Temperance,
MI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to the Toledo Humane Society.
