Ernest
“Bill” Burghardt, age 82 years of Lambertville,
MI, died Sunday, December 10, 2006 in Lake
Park, Sylvania, OH. Born Dec. 30, 1923 in
Sylvania, OH, he was the son of Ernest and
Mary E. (Joyce) Burghardt. A US Navy veteran
of WWII, he married Leah Dearsman on June
21, 1947 in Oregon, OH. She preceded him
in death on Nov. 20, 2001. Ernie was employed
as a partition slitter for Libby Glass for
47 years, retiring in 1986. He was also
a member of the United Paper Workers Union
in Toledo. Ernie enjoyed his cottage near
Baldwin, MI, fishing and riding his bike.

are his loving children, Kenneth (Annette)
Burghardt of Dundee, MI, Ronald (Brenda)
Burghardt of Charleston, IL and Sheryl (Ken)
Burghardt of Lambertville, MI. Brother,
Russell ( Nancy ) Burghardt of Lambertville,
MI. Sisters, Pauline (Don) Wallace of Lambertville,
MI and Helen Armstrong of Sylvania , OH.
6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Ernie was also preceded in death by 5 brothers,
Robert, Lawrence, Albert, Norman and Donald
Burghardt and 2 sisters, Mildred Simon and
Dorothy Harrison.
Visitation
will be Sunday from 3-7 pm at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd.
(at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where memorial
services will follow at 7:00 pm. Pastor
Paul Clark of Deerfield Church of God
will officiate.
