| Thomas “Tom” J. Brautigan, age 68, of Temperance, MI, and formerly of Erie, MI, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Born July 12, 1940 in Detroit, MI, he was the son of John and Elizabeth (Coe) Brautigan. A graduate of St. Mary’s High School and had attended Chadsey Chef School, both in Detroit, MI; he married Andrene Parzych on July 18, 1964. She preceded him in death on June 14, 1984. Tom was produce manager for Farmer Jack’s for 31 years, retiring in 1991.
He is survived by his loving children, Jennifer (Cary) Kuhl, John (Michelle) Brautigan, Catherine (Bernie) D’Ambrosi, Christopher (Gretchen) Brautigan, Amy (Kevin) Ludwig and Daniel (Christen) Brautigan. 4 brothers, Michael (Cynthia), David (Mary Elizabeth), Mark (Kathy) and Paul (Cheryl) Brautigan. 2 sisters, Mary (William) Mutart and Patricia (John) Mucha. 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Long time loving companion, Shirley Cox. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 3-9 pm Tuesday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. |
