Stuart
C. Bishop, age 91 years of Luna Pier, MI,
died Friday, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio,
Toledo, OH. Born April 19, 1916 in Toledo,
OH, he was the son of James and Alice (Exley)
Bishop. A WWII Navy veteran, he married
Claudine Vance on Jan. 27, 1934 in Temperance,
MI. She preceded him in death on Feb. 10,
1994 . Stuart was a carman for CSX Railroad
for 41 years, retiring in 1976. He was a
member of the Transportation Communication
Union and also enjoyed hunting, fishing
and the dancing on the pier in Luna Pier,
MI.
Surviving
are his loving children, Kenneth (Norma)
Bishop of Bitely, MI, Richard (Satchie)
Bishop of Henderson, NV, Thomas (Gale) Bishop
of Oregon, OH, Sally Petrusky and James
Bishop, both of Luna Pier, MI and 12 grandchildren,
20 great grandchildren and 8 great great
grandchildren.
Visitation
will be Monday from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at
the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640
Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where
funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial
Park . Memorials may be made to Hospice
of Northwest Ohio
