Howard
H. Berman, age 79 years of Temperance, MI,
died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest
Ohio, Toledo, OH . Born June 20, 1928 in
Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Herman H.
and Emma (Maule) Berman. A US Army veteran
of the Korean War, he married Marilyn K.
Hackett on Dec. 1, 1949 in Angola, IN. Howard
was the purchasing agent for the former
Heating Trades Supplies, Inc. for 38 years
and retired from Famous Supply in 1991 after
5 years of service. He enjoyed gardening
and was a very giving and loving man who
always put others first. He will be greatly
missed by his family, friends, and his “spoiled
rotten” west highland terrier, Snowball.
Surviving
are his loving wife of 58 years, Marilyn,
Children, Greg Berman and Terry Berman and
Grandchildren, Stephanie and Steven Berman.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
and 4 sisters, Hazel Mack, Veral Plotner,
Marian Riker and Madeline Berman.
Visitation
will be held Wednesday from 2-9 pm at the
Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith
Road (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where
funeral services will be held Thursday at
11:00 am. Interment will follow at Toledo
Memorial Park, Sylvania, Ohio. In Lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice
of Northwest Ohio.
