| Pearl
Bender passed away on December 6, 2007,
at the age of 90, after a brief illness,
at her home in Hudson, Florida. She is survived
by her son Robert (Carol) Patterson and
her brother Leo of Fort Collins, Colorado,
14 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren
and 5 step children. Pearl
grew up in Brooklyn, Michigan and lived
there for many years after her marriage
to Robert A Patterson. In 1959 she married
John V. Bender and moved to Dundee, Michigan
where she resided until her retirement.
Pearl worked for the Ford Motor Company
in plants in Manchester and Saline, Michigan
for 30 years and retired in 1976. After
retirement she moved to Leesburg, Florida
with her husband John until his death in
2000. In 2002 she moved to Hudson, Florida
where she lived near her son.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, William
and Minnie Yeider, one son Gerald, two daughters,
Karen and Janet Parkhurst, one Grandson,
three sisters and six brothers.
Pearl
was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church
of Spring Hill, Florida and spent much of
her time reading, doing Counted Cross Stitch
and enjoying her family. In lieu of flowers,
the family asks that memorials be made to
The Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 12107 Majestic
Blvd. , Hudson Florida 34667.
Visitation
will be from 2-8 pm Tuesday, December 11,
2007 at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home,
1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance,
MI where funeral services will be held Wednesday
at 11:00 am Interment will follow at Ottawa
Hills Memorial Park in Toledo
