Edna
Mae Beard, 88 years, of Temperance, MI, died
Sunday, December 14, 2003 in her home. Born
February 18, 1915 in Whitehouse, Ohio, she
was the daughter of Eli and Irene (Duncan)
Studer. She married Edwin Beard on April 15,
1933 in Clyde, OH and he preceded her in death
on February 18, 1988. Edna was a member of
the First Baptist Church in Temperance, where
she cooked for the Men’s Prayer Breakfast
for the past 33 years.
She is survived by her loving children, Ruth
(Thurman) Johnson, Joanne Beard, Gerald (Marion)
Beard all of Temperance and Patricia (James)
Broadway of Petersburg, MI. Sister, Marie
Conrad of Belen, NM and 16 grandchildren,
42 grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Edwin,
Jr., Daughter, Dora Reed, Sister, Iva Mason
and brother, Robert Studer.
Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday in
the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith
Road (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Funeral
services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
in the First Baptist Church in Temperance,
where she will lie in state after 9:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.
