Elizabeth Barr 86, of Vero Beach, Florida, formerly of Sylvania, Ohio died in her son Medford's home in The Villages, Florida on November 7, 2005. Med still maintains a residence in Temperance part of the year. 

There will be a visitation from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and a brief memorial service at 7:00pm on Friday November 18 th at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home at 1640 Smith Rd. Temperance, Michigan. Med Barr Jr. will officiate at the service.  

Elizabeth was born January 5, 1919 in Akron, Ohio. Elizabeth was widowed three times. She married Medford Barr in 1941, Andrew Anderson in 1985, and Newton Mack in 1995. She is survived by her companion Lou Munger. 

Surviving are her three sons Medford Barr II and his wife Linda , James Barr and his wife Susan residing in The Villages, Florida and Richard Barr of Tampa, Florida. Elizabeth also had 7 grandchildren, Medford Barr Jr., Mindy Ott, Amy Pope, Stacy Snyder, Laura Cogan, James Barr Jr., and Alissa Barr, and 12 great grandchildren.

Elizabeth was a teacher and later a counselor. She taught 6 th grade at Temperance Rd. Elementary, art at Whitmer High School, and was a counselor at Gunkel in Toledo, McAulley High School, and Toledo Waite High School. Her career spanned 25 years. She retired in 1983. She had a undergraduate degree from Miami University and a MA from Eastern Michigan University Memorials to Hospice of Lake and Sumter , 12300 Lane Park Rd. Tavares, Florida 32778.
