Julie
A. Barkenquast, age 43 years of Temperance,
MI, died Thursday, April 5, 2007 in the
Hospice of Northwest Ohio Inpatient Unit,
Toledo, OH. Born February 3, 1964 in Toledo,
OH, she was the daughter of James and Joann
(Tyminski) Spross. A 1981 graduate from
Central Catholic High School, she married
Geary Barkenquast on Aug. 14, 1992 in Toledo,
OH. She was employed for the Sylvania City
Schools as a teachers aid from 1982-1997.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel
Catholic Church.
Surviving
are her husband, Geary. Children, Alexis
and Brandon Barkenquast of Temperance, MI.
Parents, James and Joann Spross of Toledo,
OH . Brothers, James (Tammy) Spross, John
Spross & Joseph Spross, all of Toledo,
OH. Sister, Janet (Eric) Thompson of Niles,
MI.
Visitation
will be held Tuesday from 2-9 pm at the
Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith
Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where scripture
services will be held Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday
at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic
Church in Temperance, where she will lie
in state after 9:30 am. Fr. Daniel Nusbaum,
pastor of the church, officiating. Memorials
may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
